My course goals for ART180 were to gain more experience in photography and take more photos in general, and also to gain more experience manipulating the items in a photo to make it more aesthetically pleasing. I think that I accomplished my course goals from the first week of class because I have learned the proper way to take photos as far as the different categories of photography, as well as the elements of composition, lighting, and color discussed in the Dozen Photo Challenge. I have learned how to manipulate lighting and angles, and how to add in some creative elements to take more aesthetically pleasing photos. I also learned that photos can tell a story, and have a much deeper meaning behind them than what might appear initially to the viewer.
